This eight week Mindfulness course is held in a friendly and supportive environment where you can relax and let go of everyday stress. We find that it is particularly useful for those in the caring professions and others with busy work and personal lives who wish to reconnect with what is important to them and learn how to focus and reduce stress and anxiety.
 
Everybody is welcome – why not come to the taster session and try it out!
 
We base our course on the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) progranmes. These programmes have been clinically proven to have a range of positive effects including reducing stress and anxiety. We combine the scientifically proven methods with a fun, lighthearted approach to give you all the skills and inspiration you need to bring mindfulness into your life and improve your physical and mental health.
 
Each 2 hour session includes:

  • Discussions on how to live more mindfully
  • Simple but powerful techniques to bring mindfulness into your life
  • Guided meditations
  • Gentle mindful movement
  • Presentations of the latest scientific research on mindfulness
  • Recorded guided meditations for home practice.

We also offer a discount on day retreats for course participants and provide handouts for home study. A more detailed course curriculum can be found here.

The course is led by Erik Passig MA CPPT. Erik has been teaching mindfulness for more than 10 years and practicing meditation for over 20 years. He works with schools and health organisations as well as running courses for the general public. Erik is also a UKCP registered psychotherapist using the core process mindfulness based psychotherapeutic approach. The course is facilitated with Jude Cummins who has over 20 years business experience. Jude is now focusing on helping those in stressful workplace environments to benefit from mindfulness.

You are very welcome to come to the taster class before you commit to the whole course (although places on the full course are limited).
